Reflecting on my recent Portuguese adventure, I’ve discovered that third time’s truly the charm! Of the three walks I’ve completed, this coastal journey stands out as the most memorable, thanks to the breathtaking Portuguese coastline and a great group of fellow adventurers.

Our group of walkers clicked instantly - just the right size to foster camaraderie, with an easygoing vibe and plenty of laughs along the way. The guides were absolute gems, adding both expertise and entertainment to our journey.

While this year’s route claimed the title of longest distance, it matched the challenge of previous walks stride for stride. The sun tested our endurance, but Mother Nature blessed us with refreshing sea breezes - nature’s perfect air conditioning!

Those first two walks weren’t just adventures - they were boot camps that prepared me for this year’s challenge. That preparation proved invaluable when my foot started protesting after day one.

Yet, for all the joys of group travel, I still hold a special place in my heart for solo adventures. There’s something magical about having the freedom to lose yourself in thought or spend that extra ten minutes capturing the perfect photo!

As for the culinary journey - this year’s Portuguese fare was a delightful step up from last year, though nothing quite tops those unforgettable meals from 2022’s walk.
